We Love Lucy
As Hilltop enters a new year, we pause to celebrate someone whose quiet dedication has helped shape our story.
For the past four years, Lucy Bernetsky has served as assistant in the Children’s House, but her contribution has reached far beyond the classroom. She has painted walls, helped prepare new learning environments, cleaned, organized, moved furniture, welcomed families, and faithfully supported children and colleagues through seasons of tremendous growth.

During her time at Hilltop, we launched our Elementary Program, expanded our Children’s House to include full-day enrollment, and welcomed many new families into our community. Through it all, Lucy’s steadiness, generosity, and willingness to help wherever needed have been a gift.
At last year’s Moving Up Ceremony, we presented Lucy with an apron covered with the thumbprints of the children she has loved and served—a fitting reminder that she has left her mark on Hilltop, just as we hope Hilltop has left its mark on her.

As she begins a new chapter following her marriage, we thank her for helping build the foundation on which Hilltop continues to grow. She will always be part of our story.
